Step 2: The Trees

Here is what Cedars look like! Some are live with  green leaves and some are dead and have just branches. The ones with just branches are the ones I used for my Teepee! Native Americans had a special thin tree they used for teepee poles.  It was was called the Lodgepole Pine, it was almost the same diameter all the way to its top, (60-100 ft. tall) making a really nice teepee pole! Thin and strong and easilly transported when the time came to follow the Buffalo  herd as it migrated to better grazing land.
