Make A Hand Life Cast Using Alginate & Plaster Of Paris

Make a hand life cast using alginate as the molding material and plaster of Paris as the casting agent.

This video shows mixing up the alginate to create a mold for a real life hand which is then casted using plaster of Paris. The plaster of Paris is poured into the alginate mold to create a realistic and life-like hand cast.

The alginate is an amazing material to work with for molding. I have just started using it and it has scope for so much! the detail is absolutely amazing and the alginate picked up even the fine detail in finger prints and pores of the skin.
