Make a Helicopter out of a Paper clip

In this Instructable you will learn how to make a helicopter out of a paper clip. This is my first instructable.

Step 1 Gather Materials

1. a paper clip
2. a rubber band
3. masking tape
4. about 2-3 min

no it doesn't. it actually scraps you finger and makes you bleed. it happened to me.

not saying this isnt ur idea, its realy good, but i have a store bought thing like this that is plastic. this is cool, how far can you get it to go? the store bought one goes up about 200 feet and lasts about 30sec in the air.

I made one and it works! Thanks I throw with by hand since I am in the office :P By using a longer tape it falls slower. Try using macro on the camera or use the focus ring on your webcam to make better pictures. Good luck! ps- on step 5 the image is gone. Jerome

Try setting your camera to a macro setting. Most digital cameras have it. Its a little flower symbol.

yeah, after you shoot it. while its coming down it's supposed to spin like one of those seeds from a tree

Actually this project has some interesting little bits and variations, like a four bladed version (nature hasn't gotten that cool yet) also it could be a good kids project, where they have to make the slowest falling version they can...
