Make a Nerf Laser Targeting System from the Tactical Light

So I had seen somewhere on the internet someone who put a laser pointer into the Nitefinder EX-3 to replace the "red light beam" and it looked quite interesting. after failing to find that mod again, I decided to make my own.

This project will cost maximum 15 dollars (Canadian), I used a dollar store laser pointer, but if you wish to butcher a DVD recorder or an expensive laser pointer go ahead, but I have no instructions on how to integrate those so it's up to you.

I bought the Nerf Tactical Light for maybe 8-10 dollars(Canadian) max. you can find this at Toys'R'Us or Zellers or probably any place that sells Nerf Blasters. I decided to use this instead of the Nitefinder as now I can attach a laser pointer to any Nerf gun with a tactical rail, but I will probably be putting up a new Nitefinder mod soon

Best part about this Instructable is there is
NO REQUIREMENT FOR SOLDERING OR ELECTRICAL KNOWLEDGE

Do Not Point at anyone, Especially at their Eyes. can cause eye damage or worse

Can someone do me a favor and tell me how to make or where to get attachments for the raider CS-35? I finally got mine but it's harder to aim. So if you could post where to get or how to make any kind of attachments, dot sight, flashlight, crossheir, anything, I would very much appreciate it.

Hi nice tip and I've done that and it works  but the only problem is that the laser pointer is not as bright and before it was modded, could this be due to the batteries as the laser pointer is using 3x 1.5 button batteries.

This is pretty cool but i would've probably duct taped this under a maverick or any other shorter barrled nerf gun good mod though!

Wouldn't this work better in the Recon CS-6's 'Dot sight' attachment? The Tac light would be better for say, a higher powered modification than a complete removal/insertion of different lights. Then again, it can prove tricky with the CS-6 sight, as it's smaller. Harumph.

As the Tactical Light is larger, and has easier wiring, it would make sense to take full advantage and do the Best You Can. However, I decided to go in the direction of the Best You Can, on Budget. this Instructable costs less then 15 dollars, where if you were to buy a high powered laser pointer, or laser diode, it would hike up the price and make it harder for the average person to enjoy this mod.

On a second note, the Recon's dot sight instructable I have yet to post up. First of all because the internals are different and would change the method and possibly budget of the mod, but mainly because I would like to preserve the attachments ability to serve as both a laser dot sight, and tactical light, which I have yet to find a way to do.
