I edit a newspaper (Frankly Speaking), and I was discussing with a fellow editor how we might make Frankly Speaking-type swag to -er- inspire people to join us.

So I looked at pictures of newspaper-related things and saw newsie hats online. And then I reverse-engineered them to come up with this newsie hat approximation. It's pretty cool!

Step 1: Cut circle

Use something bigger than your head, like a big mixing bowl. Cut out one circle.

I love this hat! I really want to make one, but I don't know if any of my bowls would be the right size for this. A lot of them are the *same* size. Would you be able to give me the dimensions of the bowls you used, so I can see if I have any that size?
(Yours came out wonderfully and I want mine to look just like it!) :D

Thanks!
I believe that my bowls were 14.5" and 10.5" diameters. However, I should warn you that my head is quite small! (21" around).
Picture, please, of your finished product!
this looks really awesome

Yep! The one in the lab has worked all along, you just have to use Randy's old laptop because somebody lost the installation disc for the software.
