Make a Rose

Make a Rose
I used to make little models out of oven-baked clay when I was little. It was lots of fun.

Browsing through my local art supply store, I grabbed some stuff that said "air drying clay" because it's a really easy thing to do - all the fun of making models, and I don't even need an oven!

You'll note, when your flower is done, how the material is hard, lightweight, and not at all like play-doh.

Here's the instructable on how to make a simple pretty flower!

Step 1Knead the Clay

Knead the Clay
Roll some of the clay into a ball, then flatten it into a pancake.

Rip the edges radially, to make the first petals.

Fold them inwards so that you have a little bowl.

This is so cute! I noticed you have some clay on your pants, I look like that after every clay project I do! I remember when my friend's little sister smushed clay on to the seat of my pants!

I recommend giving it to info kiosk workers, perhaps at airports. They like flowers.
