We loved taking pictures but sometimes we need more optimal magnification for our digital camera or cellphone camera. In this instructables, I’m going to share with you how to turn your cellphone camera into telescopic camera.

I choose Nokia C3-01 in this tutorial because it has 5.0 megapixels and it has 4x digital zoom.

Materials:
Zoom Lens for iPhone4 (8x)
Nokia c3-01 (or any cellphone)
Jelly case (for your cellphone)

You can apply this instructable to any type of cellphone that you have.

Simply follow the step-by-step instruction.  Enjoy!

Step 1: Cut a Small Square in the Backcover

In the iPhone4 zoom lens, the backcover is already in the package including the tripod stand.

Simply cut a small square in the backcover and remove all the protruding edges.

Step 2: Measure the Jelly Case in the Separated Plastic Backcover

You have to measure the circular part of the backcover for attachment in the jelly case and cut a hole to insert and fit it.

Step 3: Attach the Zoom Lens

Now, attach the zoom lens to the jelly case which have the insert square plastic backcover.

Step 4: Put the Jelly Case to the Cellphone

Put the jelly case to the cellphone and look at the screen of your cellphone for necessary adjustment of the telescope

Step 5: Use the Tripod Stand

Your telescopic cellphone camera is now ready by putting it in the tripod stand.

Your cellphone camera can now zoom 12x.  Powerful, Isn't it?

As you see, it's so easy.  You can do it too.

God bless.

This looks like exactly what I have been looking for. I picked up a decent zoom lens from the now obsolete Nintendo DS and have been looking for ideas to mount it without making it look hideous. Thanks!

To have some sample photos would be amazing. Good job
