great idea. A washer under the screwheads might help making good contact without tearing the foil

I really would prefer standard English. If it is not your first language, I can make an exception. But the 'l33t sp33k' gets old quickly.

I think you will find that water is too poor of a conductor for this device to act like a switch for any load greater than maybe an LED. You could connect it to a high-gain transistor circuit and drive a relay that could drive a heavy load. It certainly would not pass enough current, even at 120VAC, to drive a sump pump. (It should not be used at that high of a voltage. Having 120VAC sitting in a puddle on your floor is inexcusably hazardous. I would not exceed 12 Volts for safety reasons.)

Good instructable. But would you please stop using "u" in place of "you"? It gets on people's nerves

How does it works? Water should be poured on both part of the foil? Device in the figure can be anthing? Can it be a motor or a waterpump? please reply

When the water go on the foil(in the middle) it connect the two sides so it make the electricity pass(its like a switch). And yes it can be anything else then a device, but check your voltage for other thing that u connect to it.

I thought it was pronounced Battery not batterie, batterie is past tense plus it needs an s at the end to make it past tense, and my goodness I'm confusing myself. "Batteries"

I like this instructable, though I do have a suggestion with the screws. Adding a washer or nut to the screw might increase the chance of the aluminium foil surviving longer.

Why the interesting pattern cut out of the tin foil?

Very good Instructable. I don't have a basement, so I don't have to worry, but great job!
