Make a simple (but CREEPY!!) box puppet

Let's get a little something outta the way first: for all you armchair Dr. Phils out there.....RELAX! My 5 year-old son loves Halloween, and not entirely (I think) related, has become nearly obsessed with Jack-In-the-boxes lately........he's bugged the bejiggers outta me about them recently. This item looks a little weird ("like the kinda thing a future serial killer might make" --according to my beloved wife!).....but it was a "quick build"....as the saying goes.

So, I decided to help him make a quick, cheap thown-together thing (so he'd quit pestering me) tonight, that's really just sort of a little box puppet, but he wanted it to be kind of creepy.....so here it is. Maybe the Muse will sing for you....and you can do something more inspired with this.

Step 1 So, as you can see..........

....this requires simple tools: a knife, a marker and scissors (to trim the doll's hair, but not totally a requirement if you like your doll's hair).

So, my daughter had a drawer full of old Barbies that she didn't care about, so one got "adopted" for this creepy little project!

There is NOTHING  creepier than a doll who's had a close haircut........wouldn't you agree?!

You'll also need a shoe box...we were lucky enough to have a small one (near Christmas time).

Fortunately she has a home because it is a little sick your own doll!
