My iPhone didn't come with a stand, so I made one out of document clips.

Step 1: Assemble the Stand As Shown.

Good Idea horrible instructable . Not really a point in even posting something if you don't show how you did it
um, it would be great if you showed us how to assemble the stand...
ohh I see how its done! ill post something later to show you people how to do it.
sometime soon???
=/ the touch comes with a stand...
mine didnt...
3G only comes with a headset and an AC adapter. The first picture, minus the phone resting on it, would allow others to actually build this..
i have a 1st generation
I would also like to say, your photos are great. Maybe you could post an Instructable on your photography technique.
Nice!

Now that I see how many uses there are for binder clips, I'm surprised I didn't think of this.

I made a little stand from a regular wire paperclip. Your way is a lot easier.

Here's mine if you're interested.
Okay, either this is a cruel joke or I am missing something. I have a pile of various sized binder clips in front of me, and two very fuzzy photographs. Please break this down, or show a diagram, or SOMETHING, because I can't configure anything that (1) looks like your second photo and (2) supports the iPhone's weight.
Would you mind adding a couple more steps/photos to break down what exactly you did? I can't see how it all fits together by looking at a single photo of the finished project. Thanks.
The iPhone comes with the dock / stand. The Touch only comes with a dock insert.
OMG I'm so doing this for my touch! Thx
