Step 1Shopping for supplies.

Shopping for supplies.
For this plushie, you will need:
  • 1/2 yard of yellow fleece (get more if you're nervous.)
  • yellow all-purpose thread to match fleece
  • sewing needles
  • nice scissors to cut the fleece
  • a felt tip pen for marking out the pattern (a sharpie, if nothing else.)
  • pins for pinning the pieces together
  • fiberfill or another sort of stuffing
  • patience
  • felt for decoration/features - I chose red, yellow, gray and black.
  • embroidery needle and yellow emboirdery floss.
  • craft glue, preferably a fabric kind, quick drying.
  • optional - a bit of cardboard to reinforce the butt.
  • a nice, comfortable place to sit.

If you're unsure about what any of these are, please ask.

I got most of this guy done in a late-night sewing session with my sister last Christmas, and then never quite finished. All of the embellishments are sewn on, I didn't trust fabric glue in the long run. The wheels are stuffed gray felt, I'm planning on sewing hubs on once I find some white felt.

This was a great project for teaching me to sew. I'd never done anything more complicated than a button before this. Yay for learning new skills!

Here he is chilling in front of the 1992-1994 NatGeos with his new pals Pilot Bear and the TARDIS.

After all these years I still want one.
That one, specifically, because my sewing skills are weak.

Come on now.. 4mem8 is a great guy, but at least you finished yours and we are still finalizing the program for the Wall-E. But I think my Elvinator Project still has the most instruction on the site and I'll be adding to it very soon. Oh by the way I love your robot! or is it you I'm talking about haha just kidding. Jax

I know it was, I just wanted to bust your bubble a bit. We do this all the time in good fun, so don't think we are mad or anything like that.. Like I said it's all in good fun and soon you will over take the Wall-E ible and be the Queen of views. Jax

Thank you so much for this instructable! I learned so much from it & had loads of fun :). This is my adaptation of the plushie. Mr. Coffee (as I will call him) is actually a star in the Wrigley's Extra Commercial found in Australia (Link found here: http://www.atwinthing.com/extradouble.html ). The artistic concept was created by (one of my favorite artists) Morten Rowley of Munkmotion™ (If you ever read this Morten, ty & <3!) (Conceptual link found here: http://www.munkmotion.com/ver4/projectsPage.php?id=00003&img=00050 )

But it is all fixed now. :-)

I think that was the strangest thing I ever saw on instructables... (I have seen other less strange things on instructables.)
