In this project I will show you how I build my own LED Bar around my 15x10 RGB LED Matrix. It has a top shelf which is made of acrylic glass and it lights up with the push of a button. With the help of a WS2812B LED strip I can change the color of the top shelf and also use animations to light it up. Now I will present you all the steps which are involved if you want to build something similar.

Step 1: Watch the Videos!

It would be the best to watch both video parts of this project one after the other to get a good idea of how I made this project. And as additional support I will now present you a small parts list with example sellers, schematic and code for the electronics.

Step 2: Order Your Parts!

You will need these parts to build the electronics for the lighting system with the WS2812B. You can find the other parts (wood, paint, screws,....) in your local hardware store.

Step 3: Build the Circuit!

Now it is time to build the circuit. Here you can take a look at my schematic to build this with your own board design or you can just remake my board by using the two board layout diagrams.

Step 4: Program the Attiny85!

If you do not know how to program the Attiny85 then you can take a look at my other video:

You can also find the arduino code here. Make sure that "ledbarledstrip.ino" is inside a folder with the same name and the code file "functions" is also inside this folder. Then you just need to open "ledbarledstrip.ino".

Step 5: Success!

And that was everything you need to know to build your own LED Bar. I hope it inspired you to build something similar.

<p>Scheint ein Fehler mit der Attiny Library zu sein. Kontrolliere dort nochmal alles. Du findest auch ein Video &uuml;ber das Programmieren eines Attiny auf meinen Kanal.</p>
<p>Great project, I saw the parts list/schematic for the top. Do you have a parts list or schematic for the bar front display?</p>
<p>The front matrix will be explained in another video/instructable. There I will also make a parts list. But it might take some more time to get those videos finished.</p>

<p>so great, how long did this project take you? </p>
<p>It took me about one year to build the bar and the matrix.</p>
