Introduction: Make Your Own EBq BBQ Grill Out of an Altoids Box

For those of you who know me you know that I am just fascinated by building things inside of an altoids tin, but this tiny BBQ dubbed the eBq takes the cake. This tiny little BBQ that you can use to cook up your breakfast sausage features:

Built in Striker
Removable Grill
Utensil Holder
Equipment Holder
Just remember to let it cool off before you put it back into your pocket or else you will feel a nasty burn in your pants

To use the grill, open the lid and take out the grill. If you notice anything about the grill, you will see dice welded onto it. The dice will be branded onto your food whether it is vegetables, or meat. When the grill is removed, take a cube of charcoal and crumble it in. Make sure not to make a mess when putting the charcoal in. Put the grill back on, close the lid, then pour lighter fluid in and light it up. Start grilling on the new eBqBBQ GRILL.Wouldn't it be great if you imagined your boss coming in and say'n, "hey, i smell smoke" then you sayin, "oh don't worry about it, its just me bbq'n in my office!"

Step 1: Materials:

What you will need:
1 Altoids tin case with a lid that has no embrossings, or engraved text. It should be flat.
1 Xacto knife
1 coat hanger
1 pair of needle nose pliers
1 pair of regular flat head pliers
sand paper ranging from 100 grit to 2000 grit( for maximum style and performance)

Step 2: Making the Lid:

Get your knife and cut the lid where you see the black line so it should look like this:

Step 3: Making the Removable Grill:

Take a coat hanger and cut the hook of of it then bend the hanger with the two pliers so it should look like this. You want to make the grill act like a "spring" so when you put the grill in place, it won't come out unless you squeeze the ends of the grill together. Make sure that the coat hanger fits snugly into the Altids box.

Step 4: Putting It All Together:

After you finish making each part, assemble the grill so the grill fits snugly inside the brim of the Altoids tin case. Put the lid back on. It should close all the way if made properly. then sand the product so it looks like the images below. That is optional! You're done!

Step 5: Video of the EBq BBQ Grill:

here is a video of the eBq BBQ grill. Finally! I got the eBq BBQ grill in action. The spill you see there is from Reiley. He accidentally poured too much fluid into the grill. no harm.
