Make your own eBq BBQ Grill out of an Altoids box

Step 3 Making the removable grill:

Take a coat hanger and cut the hook of of it then bend the hanger with the two pliers so it should look like this. You want to make the grill act like a "spring" so when you put the grill in place, it won't come out unless you squeeze the ends of the grill together. Make sure that the coat hanger fits snugly into the Altids box.

what is the spring looking thing on the left under the grill leading to the leg

I'm putting one together myself. I'm having some trouble getting the wire bent cleanly, the spacing and lengths are off. Any suggestions?

Try Heating It till its red hot, that should make it easier to bend, Don't Burn Yourself
