Picture of Makedo Cardboard Treasure Chest
Whether you’re playing Pirate or you just need somewhere to hide away those most treasured toys, this Makedo Treasure Chest will really come in handy. We’ve made ours using a cardboard box, some card sheet and Makedo parts available from mymakedo.com

Step 1: Sketch out the pattern

Picture of Sketch out the pattern
To make your Toy Treasure Chest, begin by drawing the curve for the top of the chest on the small sides of your box as shown in the image. Next, rule two lines all the way around the box.

Looks really good especially with those cute aliens in it. They were from Toy Story right? How come they never became as popular as the minions?

Can I offer a tip?
Cut the half circle part off of the top, Then add the curved top piece Before you cut the top free from the chest. That way everything lines up perfectly.

That does make sense! Thanks for the tip... it is always helpful to get a fresh perspective on how these creations can be made.

We'll give this a go next time around.
Ooo I've been wanting to make one of these for my kitty's toys.
He has many toys and they get all strewn out all over they place. Just have to find the time to make one.
