Introduction: Makedo Pumpkin-shaped Candy Holder

About: Makedo is a series of safe cardboard construction tools purposely designed for kids to imagine and build the world they want to see.

When Halloween comes around, getting together with a few friends and heading down the street for Trick or Treating is a whole lot of fun.

Having put so much effort in to making that fantastic costume (we know you did!) why not continue the creative making with a Pumpkin Candy Holder?

Continue the Halloween theme with somewhere ghoulish to store all those treats.

Step 1: Gather Materials

Gather your materials! As well as two medium sized cereal boxes, we'll need two Makedo Re-pins and Re-clips, available from mymakedo.com.
Start by cutting one of the boxes in half and painting it black.

Step 2: Cut and Paint

Draw two big pumpkin shapes on the other cereal box. They should be at least the same size or bigger than the front of the black box you made in the last step.
Cut them out and paint them your favourite shade of orange.

Next, cut out a face for your pumpkin on one or both of the shapes. Maybe you can make different expressions on either side!

Step 3: Connect

Using the Makedo Re-clips, attach the pumpkins to the front and back of the black box.

Step 4: Cut and Connect

Take some of the leftover cardboard and make a handle, attaching it crossways as shown.

Step 5: Finished!

Your Pumpkin Candy Holder is complete. Now you will have somewhere fun to store all those treats that you collect on Halloween.

Customize your Candy Holders with different faces! Try cats, scary robots or Witch faces as well as pumpkins.

Remember to share what you’ve made with us at mymakedo.com, we’d love to see it!
