Introduction: Makedo Tissue Box Monster

About: Makedo is a series of safe cardboard construction tools purposely designed for kids to imagine and build the world they want to see.

Here is an incredibly fun project that is sure to keep even the boogie monster at bay.
Make your own scary monster out of an empty tissue box, 2 coffee cups, some plastic bottle lids or just about anything you can find around the house along with your Makedo parts from mymakedo.com!

Step 1: Punch

To make the eyes of your Monster, use the point end of the Makedo Safe-saw and punch a hole in the center of your bottle lids.

Step 2: Punch

Use the Makedo Safe-saw to punch holes in the box where you want to place your monster’s eyes.

Step 3: Connect

Layer the lids on top of one another and connect them to the tissue box using Makedo Re-clips.

Step 4: Saw

To create the mouth, use the Makedo Safe-saw and cut out teeth and a jawline extending half way down the bottom of the box.

Step 5: Build

Fold down where the jawline ends. Punch holes on the bottom of your Monster mouth and connect Makedo Re-clips to the mouth. The Re-clips will be the teeth for your Monster.

Step 6: Saw

To make the legs of your Monster, saw toes on the rim of the two cups, then turn upside-down and fold the toes so that they sit flat on the surface.

Step 7: Connect

Place the legs on each side of the bottom of the box and connect them using Makedo Re-clips.

Step 8: Complete

Your Tissue Box Monster is now complete. Accessorize using other reclaimed materials such as foil trays or even colouring with crayon or markers to give it more character. Create other monsters using different shaped boxes or different materials as eyes and legs. Remember to share your creation at mymakedo.com. We would love to see it!
