Introduction: Makedo Gift Bag Puppet

About: Makedo is a series of safe cardboard construction tools purposely designed for kids to imagine and build the world they want to see.

Reuse old leftover from gifts and create your own gift bag puppets using Makedo re-pins and re-clips available at mymakedo.com. The creative possibilities are endless.

Step 1: Find

For this project you will need old gift bags and reclaimed materials such as bottle caps and left over gift wrapping paper to create you puppet.

Step 2: Fold

Fold the corners in of the bottom of the bag flap. This will define the nose of the creature.

Step 3: Punch

Use the point end of the Makedo safe-saw, punch a hole of where its feature will go.

Step 4: Punch

Punch a hole on the bottle caps and extra materials that you will attach to the creature.

Step 5: Connect

Using the Makedo pin, connect the features on to the bag and secure in place with a Makedo clip.

Step 6: Build

Repeat this step to connect the remaining features.

Step 7: Build

Using left over gift wrapping create ears. For this project we simply created a pleat fold as the ears. Connect using Makedo pins and clips.

Step 8: Share

Your creature is done. Simply place your hand in the bag and move it up and down to make its mouth move. Create other interesting gift bag puppets using found materials to add to the collection. Share and upload your creation at mymakedo.com.
