To bad I cant make this (i would... but we dont have chocolate chips, and my mom doesnt want to buy any...).
But there is a great seceret i learned... how to use cake mix for brownies... so i will make brownies.
for each container (1 Lb, 2.2 oz) of cake mix, instead of adding what they tell you to add, add this -
2/3 cup Condesed milk (evaporated works to)
2/3 cup butter (melted)
Cook at 350 for 20 minutes, then for 5 minute intervals until done.

I make a similar recipe. I like to add a 1/2 cup of peanut butter. I think it cuts the sweetness a little. You can tell by the glossy look of the fudge in the picture that you cooked it just right.

Oh, YEAH! Chocolate and peanut butter all together! You can actually replace all the butter with peanut butter and part of the marshmallow creme, too.

In my day this recipe was called "Mamie Eisenhower's fudge". I think I just dated myself. ;-)

This is a good recipe but, I know you got it off the back of the marshmallow creme bottle. I looked on the back of mine and found the exact same recipe.

I did some variations on this recipe that were good. Instead of the vanilla, use some rum extract and use raisins instead of pecans. Or, in place of vanilla, use mint, or orange extract and skip the pecans in both cases. Many recipes call for a couple of tablespoons of butter near the end. Use peanut butter instead. Still, it is hard to do better than pecans and chocolate, especially blanched pecans.

Ooh, the peanut butter version sounds good! I'll give it a try.
