Introduction: Making Easy Stencils With the Epilog Laser Engraver

Cutting out stencils are a pain in the A$$. Here's a way to make stencils quickly using a Laser Engraver. This stencil was made using a laser engraver at my local hackerspace, TechShop. "I made it at TechShop"

things you will need........
1. The graphic for your stencil.
2. Photoshop
3. Vector tracing software (Adobe Illustrator, CorelDraw)
4. Laser engraver

Step 1: Edit Your Image for Stenciling

Try to find you image with high contrast, .png are always prefered over .jpeg  . You also have the option of designing your own image.

Use photoshop to edit any empty free standing spaces creating tabs with the eraser tool. above is a good example on how to stencilize your images. Before and After Light bulb (pay attention to the blank empty spaces).

Use the the outline trace tool in corel draw
