Making Your Own Stuffed Animal

Step 55

Eyes ears and nose. You can do a lot for your animals personality with a couple of buttons and some embroidery thread. Experiment with placement of buttons on your animal before you sew them on you can use pins to hold them on while you get good look. A couple of centimeters to the left or right will take your animal from angry to dopey to benevolent and back. Play around and then choose the look thats right for you. After youve sewn the buttons on, use a large needle and some embroidery thread to add eyebrows, eyelashes, ear detail, and mouth.

*Hint: You can sew on buttons and line details with embroidery thread BEFORE Step 3, with a little guess-timating as to placement, so that you have the option of sewing back and forth through the fabric before the animal is sewn and stuffed.

Now slap a name on your creation and enjoy!
