Introduction: Making a Notebook (Very Easy)

About: I love finding and performing great D.I.Y. projects. There's something great about making what you own.

This instructable will teach you how to (very easily) make your own personalized notebook. I've made about two so far, and I've had fun making and using them. It's simple to make them more or less personal and they're very portable. Here are the instructions:

Step 1: Step 1: Gather Supplies

-One magazine page (this will serve as your front and back covers)
-Paper (I used 5 sheets of graph paper. Just know that the papers will be folded in half and it will be twice as thick.)
-Stapler (sewing is another option)
-Patterned tape, regular tape, labels (you'll know what you want to use when we get to that step)
-Scissors

Step 2: Step 2: Cut Paper

Cut paper to a size you like. Remember, the pages will be folded in half. Cut the magazine page down to a size just a little bigger than the paper size. My paper is 8.5 inches x 3.75 inches. My magazine page is 8.6 inches x 4 inches.

After this step, it should look like this:

Step 3: Step 3: Staple/Sew

Keep your papers together and staple/sew. I'm not good at sewing books so I stuck to stapling. It worked out fine. Your book should now look like this:

Step 4: Step 4: the Spine

Close your book and go to the spine. There should be staples or thread visible. If you would prefer to leave it that way, you're done, but if you'd like to cover it up and/or add more personality, do this. Cover the spine with patterned tape or labels. I decorated some blank labels with a design. Here's how it should look:

Step 5: You're Done!

You should have a completely finished notebook. This was a super easy project and easy to repeat again and again. Please remember to follow me to stay posted on some easy projects! Thank you for reading! I'd love to see how yours turn out!
