what's new in v2.0
there's a ruler in inch scale
there's a saw

This is a step by step easy tutorial and this is made of very cheap materials. Please edit it and upload images. I don't know how to stop it. Please subscribe.

Step 1: Required Materials:

Picture of Required Materials:

6 small popsicle sticks
a clip
an adhesive
a paper cutter
a ruler
a sitck or toothpick
a drill or board pins
a pencil
a paint
a brush

let's make it!!

Step 2: Cut the Sticks

Picture of Cut the Sticks

cut 6 sticks with 7.4cm or 3.5 inch length. We'll need the remaining in another step.

Step 3: Make Holes

Picture of Make Holes

drill a hole on a stick and place that stick on top of the other and make holes on all the 6 sticks like in picture 3.

Step 4: Carving the Knife, Ruler and the Saw

Picture of Carving the Knife, Ruler and the Saw

first let's begin with the knife. see picture 1 2 and 3
cut off 0.5 cm and then carve the knife

now the ruler. cut 0.6 cm and cut it a little cross as in picture 4
mark inch or cm measures as you like. I'm doing inch. see picture 5.
finally we gonna make the saw.
cut short piece as we did in ruler but more steep.
draw triangles in it and cut it. see picture 6 7.

Step 5: Make the Blocking Piece for All the Tools

Picture of Make the Blocking Piece for All the Tools

Insert the stick to one side of the handle and the blade. refer picture, mark the blocking piece like picture 2. take the piece which we have cut in step 2. draw the same in that piece . cut what we have drawn on the remaining piece in step 2. don't cut the handle. even if it's cracked it's alright. because we will stick it in the handle which we have drawn. clip it and allow it to dry.

like the same do it for the ruler like in pics 4 5 6
repeat that for the final it'll look like picture 7

Step 6: Assembly

Picture of Assembly

it's time to assemble follow picture 1 and do that.
at the last blocking piece apply some adhesive and stick it to the handle as seen in picture 2.

Step 7: Painting

excited to make this with my boys! Can you explain a bit how the pin is finished? I assume you cut off the top part so the blades can open and close.

Thanu03 (author)cczesak2016-05-11

can u explain it with pictures

cczesak (author)Thanu032016-05-11

yes, the pins that the blades hang on. I can see from one image there is a push pin, then something longer sticking out. Then in another image it is now flush with the wood Do you just glue a push pin in then trim it down?

Thanu03 (author)cczesak2016-05-11

no its not the pin. I just used the toothpick like stick
