So Thanksgiving is in a few days, and, in case you haven't had enough of Pumpkin ideas from Halloween, here is a design you can try. Warning: this pumpkin is not edible as it is made out burlap!

Here is what you will need:

Burlap/Jute Webbing in whatever color you want
Beans

Step 1: Cut Your Jute Webbing Pieces

Cut out your burlap into eight portions that are each approximately two inches wide. In addition to that, cut one smaller one for the stem of the pumpkin that should be about .5 of an inch in width.

Step 2: Start Your Sewing

First, take two of the two inch wide strips together in your hands and sew them together on one side. When you are done, open the piece up. Keep on adding the strips so that all eight are sewn together. See photos for a better idea of what I am describing.

Step 3: Completing the Circular Shape

Fold the wrong side together to join the ends and complete the circle

Step 4: Creating the Base

Pinch the two sides together

Step 5: Turn It Inside Out

Here is where you can put the beans inside. It is also possible to do this afterwards before you have sewn the pumpkin shut.

Step 6: Finish Your Pumpkin

Sew in stitches on the upper part of the pumpkin. When you finish stitching the upper part, make sure the stitches end in the inside of the pumpkin. Pull on the strings to enclose the pumpkin. Keep the needle on so that you can use it for when we finish off with the stem/handle.

Step 7: Making the Stem - Last Step

Fold the other piece you made that was half an inch in half and sew it into place by going back and forth a few times.
