Introduction: Making Wacky Finger Puppets

About: I've been doing ceramics for over 20 years. First making things for myself and since then an ETSY shop to share all the items I make. Usually whimsical items and functional items for daily enjoyment.

Making one finger puppet might take as little as 1/2 hour.  Once you get the hang of it, then embellish and create more for each finger/toe.

Step 1:

You will need:
Sewing machine
Measuring tape
Ruler
Glue
Scissors
Sheets of felt of different colors
Googly eyes
Beads, buttons, lace, ribbons, etc.

Step 2:

Measure and cut out 2" x 4" pieces of felt.  2 for each puppet.  Mix and match colors for front and back if you choose.

Step 3:

Then sew around the rectangle making a rounded corner and leaving one end open.

Step 4:

Trim around the corners.

Step 5:

Turn the sewn piece inside out and start decorating by adding eyes, nose, flowers, buttons, etc.  Use fabric pen to draw in any details you like.

Step 6:

Here are the 3 goofy ones I made.  I just let my imagination guide me. :)
