These biscuits do not lack in flavor! Hitting all my favorite flavor notes and textures, salty, sweet, savory, crispy outside, soft inside.

I LOVE the biscuits at Ruby Tuesday but there isn't one close to my home. Sadly, they don't share the recipe and all the other copycats link to the Red Lobster biscuit hack; while those are tasty, the sweetness and bacon in the Ruby Tuesday biscuits make them tops in my book. It was time to take things into my own hands, I followed the basic copycat Red Lobster biscuit recipe and made it so much better with maple syrup, bacon and BACON FAT! 

Makes 12 highly enjoyable biscuits


Step 1: Gather Ingredients

You'll need:

2 cups all-purpose flour
1 Tbsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt (I use Kosher)
1/2 tsp. garlic powder
3 slices bacon, diced into 1/4-inch pieces (I use thick-cut bacon from a local butcher, if your bacon is thin you might want to use 5 or 6 slices.)
1 cup (4 oz.) finely grated sharp cheddar cheese
2 Tbsp. unsalted butter, cut into small pieces and chilled
1/4 cup maple syrup
1/3 cup buttermilk
1/3 cup milk (I used 2%)

2 Tbsp. unsalted butter, melted
1 tsp. finely chopped fresh parsley (or 1/4 tsp. dried)
1/2 tsp. garlic powder
Pinch salt
