Serve chilled. Usually its fine if you make it right before you serve it.
If you want you can add raisins.

My aunt came to visit from Iran, and she suggested to add garlic powder for a bolder taste. It made it more delish!!! Since then, I have been adding garlic powder + my own ingredients

Thanks for sharing this recipe! It was delicious! :D My best friend's mom makes an Indian dish very similar to this, and I've always forgotten to ask her for a recipe! It will be interesting to compare the two and see if there are any differences!

You're very welcome! I'm glad someone us actually making this. From what I've seen this dish goes from Greece to turkey to the middle east until around India. Enjoy!

There's a Serbian version of this that incorporates garlic.  mmm.
