When I saw the contest for "stuff on a stick" I thought "oh that's so me!" Even though I am known for my baking of sweets I'm also a good dinner gal, and I'm quite pleased with how they came out!
So lets get to it!
Oh and sorry in advance for the poor quality photos * my Canon broke!
Step 1: Ingredients & Materials
1 pound of ground meat (Beef, Turkey, Chicken) *I used Turkey
3/4 Cup diced peppers (Yellow, Green, Red) *I used all three
1/4 Cup Onions (Optional) *I used sweet onions
1/3 Cup Bread Crumbs (store bought or homemade)
2 large eggs
1/4 teaspoon of ground pepper *I prefer it from a pepper mill but that's just me.
1 Tablespoon of Worcestershire sauce *Lea & Perrins is the best in my opinion.
2 or 3 cloves of Garlic finely minced *I have a groovy lil plate that makes my garlic like a paste, you should get one they're awesome! also you need to slice the clove down the middle and remove the sprout (green or not)-- technically called the "germ" you could always supstitute Garlic powder if you don't have any fresh Garlic.
Tomato Topping (optional)
2 Tablespoons Ketchup
2 Tablespoons Tomato Sauce
Sticks *of course! I used kabob skewers and broke them in half
Cupcake pan *you might just be able to set them on a baking sheet also
an oven :) *to bake them in!
Step 2: Heat & Mix...
drop in enough oil to coat the bottom of each cup in the cupcake pan you may even want to rub it up on the sides.
IF you are using a fattier meat you shouldn't use any oil at all. I used a very lean Turkey so I had too.
Mix all the Meatloaf ingredients together in a bowl
Mix the Ketchup & Tomato Sauce together and set aside
