I once made something like this, but all it took was a bic mechanical pencil. I attached a string to a staple and bent part of it into a hook, and attached the string to the pencil. shoots over 5 feet and hook on!!!

step 3 you insert the paperclip through the stiring straw as a guide for the trigger I hope this helps I'm sorry I can't figure out how to get pictures on it though.

step 2 the clip is the thing on the top side you use it to keep it in your shirt pocket. And the tip is the part that covers the lead advancer.
