This is my video entry for the Summer Speed Challenge: Water.

One of the best ways to beat the heat this summer (besides peach margaritas) is to wrangle some of your friends, a big hill, and Slip n' Slide!

What you will need for an epic day of water fun:
  • Plastic tarp (at least 100'. You will want the thickest, 6 mil., but you can get away with 4 mil if your budget it tight. You will want the thickest, 6 mil., but you can get away with 4 mil if your budget it tight. We used a 4 mil 100' tarp, a store bought kid slip n' slide for the beginning, and an old tarp for the landing strip)
  • Water with hose
  • Large canister o' Laundry detergent
  • Friends

Tips:
  • Rake your slip n' slide runway if it has a lot of sticks and rocks; it will make for a much less painful slip n' slide
  • If there are still rocks and sticks left, you can spray some water on the ground, creating mud, then press the rocks and sticks into the ground (We learned this the hard way).

When you are ready, let the water and detergent flow freely and start slippin and slidin!
