Most workplaces let their employees off work for Memorial Day. Families decorate the graves of their family and friends with silk flower decorations, so it's not limited to military graves. Most military commemorations in my area are on Veteran's Day. Many families in the area I live will hold family and/or friend gatherings and fire up their grills. The lakes will be busy with families and friends headed out to celebrate. Pools and amusement parks are usually busy.
