Introduction: Meringue and Strawberry-Lemon Hot Sauce Custard
This is a meringue star on top of a strawberry-lemon hot sauce custard I made. It was my first time, but it turned out really delicious. You should definitely try making it.
- 1 egg white
- 1/4 cup of confectioners sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon of white vinegar
- stand mixer
- bowl (I used glass)
- piping bag (and tip)
- sheet ray
- parchment paper
- sauce pan
- 1 egg yolk
- 1 teaspoon of corn starch
- 1/4 cup of evaporated milk
- 4 tablespoons of granulated sugar
- 1 lemon
- about 3 strawberries
- some hot sauce (amount depends on your taste)
- 2 small bowls
- 1 lemon juicer
- chopping board
In 1 bowl add the egg yolk, 2 tablespoons of the sugar, the corn starch, and the evaporated milk. Juice your lemon in the other bowl. Dice your strawberries small and add it to your lemon juice. Add 2 tablespoons of your sugar and some hot sauce to your taste. Mix both mixtures together.
Put in a small bowl and cook in the oven on 375 F for 20-30 minutes or until thick.
Now your done. Just plate your dessert and enjoy! :D
