Introduction: Metallic Leather

This is a very simple instructable, and my first, so let me know if you spot any problems, or if anything is unclear...

Step 1: Materials:

1) A section of black leather

2) Metallic Paint (I used Silver and Copper - Apologies for my terrible camera work)

3) Sponge

Step 2: Paint It!!!!!

sponge paint onto leather until you have your desired effect. I dabbed on silver first, then added Copper for contrast, and then pulled of some of the wet paint with a clean section of sponge.

Step 3: Spray It!!!

If you want to preserve your painted leather, spray it with a poly-acrylic spray, found at most craft and hardware stores. I have not sprayed mine yet, but as the acrylic paint is water based, I am not sure if it will wash of the leather.... Please experiment and let me know!!!

Step 4: DONE!!

As promised, this is a very simple Instructable, so let me know how it works out... Next, I am planning to make a clutch with this leather.... So stay tuned!!!
