So here is the Minecraft birthday cake I made for my sons 8th birthday. It was inspired by ohsewkaren's Minecraft World Cake found here http://www.instructables.com/id/Minecraft-World-Cake/, so a big thank you to her for the idea. My son absolutely loved it. The desert biome is Rice Krispie squares, the river is blue raspberry Jello, and the plains biome is a chocolate cake mix with vanilla icing dyed green. I used some folded pieces of cardboard, slid under the cakes and Jello and secured with toothpicks to keep the river from flowing away.  The trees are Kit Kat bars and dyed Rice Krispie squares held together with toothpicks.  Steve, the creeper and the cow all came from here http://www.fps-x-games.com/2012/04/minecraft-mob-printable-cut-out.html and the sign from here http://www.fps-x-games.com/2013/03/create-minecraft-papercraft-template-sign.html#more.  The cactus came from pixelpapercraft.com. I also made some torch candles (not shown) by cutting down 2 tall brown candles into 8 small torches.
We used what was supposed to be blue hard candy for water and fondant to make creatures and Steve. :)
That's really cool!
Great job - this is very cool - I agree with Jessy about the trees! :)
This is amazing! The trees look perfect :D
