Step 5Sealing the Deal

Sealing the Deal
The final step. All we need to do now is to make it as air tight as possible. To seal off the lid, we took a hot glue gun and doused it with glue. We just placed it around the perimeter to the best of our abilities, (you can view the images below for a better idea).

to get a better seal, you may want to put a bead of silicone around where it is joined. That is how glass aquariums are sealed.

for an even better seal (if you don't ever want to remove the lid) use some form of "Plasti-Weld" or JB Weld... it will make a completely liquid and air tight joint.... i've used this stuff (the plasti-weld) to seal an old air mattress, and it worked fantastic, JB is just as good...
