Step 10: Sunshiine's Final Thoughts

Picture of Sunshiine's Final Thoughts

I am entering this in the chemical reaction contest and need to explain the chemical reaction that is involved when baking these.
The self-rising flour which consists of salt and baking powder uses the leavening agent from baking soda; the soda reacts to something acidic (Butter or dairy product )and forms carbon dioxide gas.

I am pleased with the results of this recipe that I will be making them weekly. This recipe will save me hours of trying to think of something to bring to a party or dinner. It will most assuredly be a regular request. I am thrilled to share it here on Instructables. Go ahead put this on your list of things to bake and make it your family favorite! I hope to post a couple of favorite recipes in a few days.

Thanks for stopping by and do have a splendorous day!

Nope, bacon bits! Those yummy crunchy little bits! I will add more to my next batch! Peppercorns would be real good in this though. I will be experimenting because this is such a super easy yummy recipe that could become a master of all kinds of good things. Remember to grab that Instructables apron and make up a batch for yourself and sweet dreams!

sunshiine (author)mikeasaurus2011-11-02

LOL! You are correct I did use pepper corns. I was thinking you meant the whole ones. I am older than you so I get a handicap! Cooking up something real special now! Stay tuned.
