Introduction: Mini Ferrero Christmas Tree Calender

A quick and simple way to turn a 24 pack of the best chocolates around into a great looking Christmas tree. As it uses 24 chocolates it makes a great Christmas calender!
( I never include the 25th Dec in my homemade calenders, as I think you get enough on that day as it is!)

After seeing the HUGE Ferrero Christmas tree in Convent Gardens in London I was inspired to make my own, albeit on a lot smaller scale, as I can't afford 11,000 Ferrero Rocher!

Step 1: You Will Need...

You will need:

Materials:
1 300g (24) Pack of Ferror Rocher
2 Sheets of medium thickness Cardboard ( I used Cereal box cardboard but thicker would be better)
1 Toilet roll tube
Double Sided Tape or quick drying glue
Paperclips or Toothpicks/Cocktails sticks

Equipment:
Scissors or a Knife
PC and Printer
Pen

You can find the Templates at end of the instructable!

Mentally:
Inhuman restraint  - Don't eat any until you've finished...

Step 2: Step One: Print and Cut

Print out the templates in colour onto A4 paper.

Stick the green shapes to the coloured side of the Cereal Box. Then cut the shapes out as neatly as possible.

Stick the brown Trunk shape to the coloured side of a Cereal box as well. Cut out, then fold the Trunk where needed.

Cut out and the Base shape, and stick it to your Toilet roll tube. Cut the tube down to 5cm height.

Or if you have access to green and brown coloured card, print out the templates and use them to cut out the the correct shapes.

No, you still aren't allowed to eat one yet...

Step 3: Step Two: Add Some Holes

Now you've stuck and cut the shapes, the next step is to add holes to middle of the green shapes.
You will see there are dotted lines in the middle of shapes, cut along these lines. This will cut a square hole into two of the shapes, and just an X into the other two.

The two that you have cut an X into fold the triangles down to form a square hole, this will give these shapes a bit more support. See the image if you are unsure.

Don't let them tempt you, you need ALL of them...

Step 4: Step Three: the Trunk

You should have already stuck down, cut out and folded the Trunk shape. Now its time to assemble it.

Glue the two side edges together to form a square tube.

You should see four small light brown marks in the middle of the trunk tube, get something sharp and punch a small hole through, about the diameter of paperclip wire. Unbend a paper clip and push it through the holes to the other side, then cut off the unneeded bit. Remove the paperclips now you know you have the right sizes, we will add them in again in the final stage
You could also use a toothpick/cocktail stick, I just didn't have any of these available.

This acts as a support for the top and bottom levels, the levels in between just naturally sit there.

What have I told you already about eating them? NO!

Step 5: Step Four: Glue Time!

Now comes the fun bit, glue on your Ferrero Rocher to the green shapes!

I would recommend applying the glue to the Ferrero, not the green shape. I would also suggest double sided tape or some strong quick drying glue would be best here, that way they don't fall off all the time!

Almost there, don't give in to their allure now....

Step 6: Step Five: Assembly!

The final bit!

Carefully slot your top level onto the trunk, then insert the paperclip to support the level when it's standing. Now add your middle layers, making sure to get them the right way round...
Then slot on the base layer, and insert the paper clip to support that.

Finally, carefully place the tree into the Toilet roll base.

It's complete! Now eat ONLY one per day, otherwise you might think Christmas has come early...

If you got this far without managing to eat one, congratulations you have inhuman restraint! But don't treat yourself to one... unless of course it's already into December!
