Mini Lamp Shade

Blinded by the light?  Homemade lamp shade made from simple home objects.

Standard night light (you can find at a dollar store)
Parchment Paper
Wire
Permanent Marker
Scissors
Ruler

Step 1: Step 1

Gather materials.

Step 2: Step 2

Determine where holes should be place for weaving in and out of the parchment paper. (this will give the paper its shape and frame)

Step 3:

Be creative.  Draw your DESIGN!!  Draw on the inside of the first layer. If you draw on the very back, (of the double sided parchment), you will not be able to see the design very well.

Step 4: Step 4

Weave wire in and out of holes.

Step 5: Step 5

Is it sturdy?  Does it hold its shape?

Step 6:

Connect shade to bulb structure.  Tie wire around, then weave up through the shade weavings.  It will stay.  It's wire; no need to glue, tape, or twist.

Step 7:

Plug it IN!!
