Even though it is probably one of the smallest and easiest projects you can do it is still fun to play with and point all around your room at night. The project is very simple and uses no switches it just has these wires with the extra plastic wrap near the lead, that makes it so that you can just press it and then it turns on.

Step 1: Components Needed

To make the mini laser pointer you need to have:
• two cell batteries
• a lot of electrical tape
• a 5mw laser diode with two wires pre-soldered to the laser diode

Step 2: Putting It Together

Now you need to take your components and put them together.
You need to blu tac the two cell batteries together by putting a bit of blu tac on the edge of the area where the two batteries meet and then squeeze them together and make sure that they are securely together and that there is a bit sticking out so that you can connect the
Laser diode to it by placing it in the blu tac and than wrapping the wires around to the two sides of the new larger over all battery and then place a piece of electrical tape around the whole thing and make sure it is keeping the plastic down and not the conductive metal.
Then you have to add some more pieces of tape to make sure that it will stay together and that it will not look ugly.

Step 3: Finished!!!

Now you have a finished laser pointer that is you press down on the sides a the right place then it will make the laser light up and then you can play around win it whenever you want.
