why won't you just use up the ink until it goes to that level so you won't get a mess and get some use out of that?

I drilled a hole through the lid of mine and attached a super-tiny keyring through it. I then clipped it to my keyring. Awesome. I keep a waterproofed strike anywhere match (cut and shaved down slightly), a safety pin, a sewing needle and some thread in mine. I'm thinking about wrapping a few rounds of duct-tape on my next one. You never know when you'll need duct tape.

I like to keep a pen in my pocket so I can take notes for business calls to my cell phone when Im out of the office. Regular size pens are to big to carry in my pocket all the time. These are hard to find at the store. Making it yourself was quick and easy. I wonder how well it will work down the road though with one end of the ink tube taped shut.

When I made this I discovered something. Don't make the tape in the ink tube to tight. If air can't get through, the the ink won't move down. So your ink will stop after a little writing.

YAY i found another pen :p i fixed the length by just adding tubing, for some damn reason...i took out the ink of this one dunno why >.< aight its cool now cool instrutable

Wow...cant beleave i got bored enouf to do this..wow...lol... cool pen thou i think i made mine to short :(
Jul 5, 2007. 12:27 PMOneEye says:
A short pen is a useful trick. I did the same thing a few years ago with a click-stick retractable pen. I clip it in the fold of my wallet and take it with me wherever I go. The size is perfect since it is still long enough to fit my hand. It is very useful to have a pen with you wherever you go, you won't believe how many people will comment on your cool mini-pen when you pull it out to jot down a note on the back of a business card or something.

I was gonna post this. Another way you can sucure the end it by taking a pair of needle nose plyers and squeeze teh ink out. If you look at the original(before cut) you can see that it is the same idea. it is also safer on an airplane this way. warning: make shure you squesse it back to circle(or square) as always 31337
May 16, 2007. 3:59 PMclimberslacker says:
you can write with it just as easy of you make it go at least up to the webbing in ur hand

i believe there are instructables posted on how to take proper photos already, but heres a quick run down incase ur too lazy to look it up like me. use the macro mode for close fotos! (the little flower icon) and if your camera doesn't have it, stand back about an arms length, and either use ur zoom or just take it, and crop it later even in something as standard as paint. other than that. pretty simple isntructable, I like CanDo's idea, those bic pens take up too much room for not putting anything else inside it. I like to roll a strip of tape in the cartridge cuz u can never find tape when you need it! =)

cheers

Good idea... pictures suck though... lol!
Jan 18, 2007. 12:55 AMMr.Devious says:
So why do I want something that is going to be hard to write with and cause a caos of ink all over?
Jan 17, 2007. 11:49 PMJakeTobak says:
Would a hot glue gun work better instead of duct tape?
Jan 17, 2007. 4:26 PMShark500 says:
or look for a heavily used pen. i did this long ago. i decided it would be easier to write it out. 2 notebooks full of ink later and it was low enough. i don't suggest it
Jan 17, 2007. 6:43 PMCanDo says:
I have an easy fix to that which I'll address in my instructable on being prepared for daily life :)
