What you will need

PARTS
-luxeon 3w led from sparkfun
-resistor check step 6
-some copper
-mini mag lite non led
-reflector from 5 dollar led upgrade or cut the bottom off you original reflector
-lens from spark fun
-thermal paste or glue
-wire
-solder
OPTIONAL PARTS
-flux
-fan for solder fumes
-cup of ice(for solder burns)
TOOLS
wet sponge or brass sponge for your soldering iron
soldering iron
stand for iron
dremel(i used my new dremel 4000)
cutting wheel
grinding wheel
GOOD cutters
----Optional-----ruler or measuring tape

Use Lithium Ion battery 14500. It is a round Lithium Ion cell at about 14 mm in diameter and 50 mm in height. a "AA" battery is about 14.2 mm in diameter and 50.5 mm in height. Just make sure to use a proper charger with these batteries and realize that they are rated at 3.7V.

I forgot something though. You should be using a current limiter with high powered LEDs, makes them work better :) These are kinda hard to fit in a mini mag though.
