wow!! Thanks, this was what I was looking for and made one for myself. really it helped me a lot. Do keep on posting these tutorials. They are just mind blowing. I am giving a picture also of of what i have made. Its not a pro like you have built. but it worked. And one question. when i heat the CD it gets black, is there a solution for that.

One can only assume you mean CUT and not CAT. Instructions would be really nice with this instructable. For instance, how do you measure out the cd? How do you go about cutting up the CD? I've always seen it shatter when I try to cut them. How do you bend them without burnging the CD?

The measurements will be different for different models of mobile, and should be easy to work out once you've watched the video through. Cutting the CD seems to be performed with scissors (if people have trouble with that, maybe a dremel would work?) As for the bending without burning, that would probably take patience and a little practice. (If there are skint tweenagers reading this, I expect this to become quite a common home-made gift this coming Christmas)

Nice idea. Very minimalistic. i would add a way to charge it when its being held. Good idea.
