Introduction: Mocha Bars

This Recipe was first made by my Grandmother and was later handed down to my mom. My mom makes them the best, she made them for parties, and if we begged her enough she would occasionaly make them just for us. Now I want to share this recipe with you, the Instructible community, This recipe is great for all ages, little kids can mix and pour things and adults can do the rest. I hope you enjoy My Instructible

Step 1: Ingredients

For this Recipe you will need:

-2 1/4 cups of flour
-1/2 Tsp. of Baking powder
-1/4 Tsp. of salt
-1 cup of Margarine or butter
-1 cup of brown sugar
-1 Tbsp. of instant coffee Granules
-1 egg
-1 Tsp. of Vanilla
              -&-
- 1 cup of semi-sweet Chocolate chips
                                                                                   

Step 2: Pre-heat

Pre-heat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit  

Step 3: Mix

Mix together in this order the margrine, brown sugar and instant coffee granules until light and fluffy.
Then Stir in egg and vanilla And
Mix in flour,baking powder and salt.







Step 4: THE CHOCOLATE!!!!

Stir in the Chocolate chips until evenly spread throughout the dough.

Step 5: Spread

Spread all the dough evenly in a greased pan. 

Step 6: Bake

Bake at 350 c for about 25 minutes, then take out and cut into squares while still hot. then Let them cool.

Step 7: Optional Icing

If you want to you can add a layer of 'Coffee Glaze' to your Mocha squares. you will need:

- 1/2 tsp. of vanilla
-2 cups Icing sugar
- and about 3 tablespoons of strong coffee

All you have to do is combine the icing sugar, the vanilla, and the the coffee and stir until smooth. with the coffee you may need to make more to make the Glaze thicker. when the mixure is smooth spread evenly onto the bars

PLEASE correct temperature to "Fahrenheit" for those who don't know any better! I'm sure the temp isn't meant to be 662 F (the conversion of 350 c) ;D
