Mod a PlayStation 2 Slimline for FREE! NO CHIPS!

Step 2 Modding the hardware

To mod the inside, take a look at the picture. You will see a small cap like piece in the very top right where the red square is.

Layer 2 or 3 pieces of duct tape around this so the cap is not visible. You can also use scotch or masking tape, but duct is recommended.

Once you taped it up, you can put your playstation 2 back together.

Why do you need this step if u still need a swap disk after this?
I just put a screw into the hole for the stopper and cardboard into the one for the lid and it plays burnt games if i load with real one first.
I thought this step would allow u to not need a swap disk but it doesn't sound like it

i found this out when the first psone came out. of course everyone knows you can do this with ps1 discs in the ps2 as well but here is from my old website http://cjp33.tripod.com/nodoc.doc its a guide to play burned psone games using an original disc and a burned disc. its pretty simple. anyone needs any help gettin this to work hit my email up [e-mail]
