Now that you have what you need, you'll want to open up the gun.

STOP- I must warn you first, that there is a seal covering a screw (not the animal, though that would be bad), and breaking it would probably void any return policy of the store of with you bought it from. Are you sure you don't want to return this.........toy? You could probably return it for a better gun....... If you saved the box, this is possible, but if you threw it out well......then I guess you've got nothing to lose. Literally.

First, take out the screw that holds both parts of the gun together. If you don't want the hinge to make that annoying clacking sound remove the two white "zig-zag collars" and the spring. The sole purpose of these collars is to make a noise that sounds like bones breaking, so that it gives away your position, and it also makes it harder to open and close the gun. When you're ready to put it back together, connect the only green pieces of the hinge with the screw. This will result in a much quieter and smoother movement of the front half of the gun when reloading.

What we need to change is not in the rear of the gun, unless you want to add more voltage. We want to open the (smaller) front of the gun.

Here's where the screws are located on the front of the gun. The one that's covered by the seal-actually it's a sticker- is on the handle on the front of the gun. There are five screws to take out.

Once the front is opened, look at the half of the front of the gun with the two black drive wheels attached to it. There are two screws-remove these.

Remember the way that the orange contacts fit into the slot, or you'll pull the trigger, and the darts will be shot backwards (not good). Once you have the drive wheels, their motors, and the orange contacts from the body, proceed to the next step.
