One of the sections that needed images was the part on DNA condensation, also called DNA packaging. I was playing with the idea of creating my own drawing, or do something on the computer. Looking for inspiration I did a Google image search and found quite a few images describing DNA condensation. However I did notice that there are no physical models. This got me thinking, rather then trying to draw something, I could make a physical model and photograph it. I at first thought to make it from clay, but I realized I enjoy working with yarn much more. So here is my Model of DNA Condensation. I include some educational information too, in case you would rather learn about DNA condensation than make a model of it.
