While I like it with spreads, jam, and/or butter, my husband likes dipping this bread (that my kids call as cake instead) in salsa :)

Step 1: Ingredients and Method

4 1/4 c bread flour

1 tbsp milk powder (either full cream or skim is fine)

1/2 c molasses

2 tbsp margarine/butter, room temperature if butter

1 tbsp active dry yeast

1 3/4 c lukewarm water

Prove yeast in water for 5 minutes

Mix flour and milk powder, make a well in center, pour yeast and add in margarine and molasses, mix well

Pour batter into prepared pan (greased and floured) and let stand for an hour (batter will be doubled in size)

Preheat oven to 350 F and bake bread for 25-30 minutes

NOTE: if you'd like to make it as a loaf, while mixing ingredients, add 1 tbsp flour at a time until dough is form, then place into a loaf pan

can this be made in a bread machine?

I would think so but I havent try.

If you try with bread machine, please let me know how it turns out :)

Well, I finally got around to trying it a bread machine and the results were awesome. A large beautiful loaf of very fragrant and delicious bread. But be sure you have a large bread machine as the 4-¼ cups of flour makes a big loaf.

thank you for trying and sharing! looks awesome!!

That sounds pretty cool, I've never eaten a bread with salsa before, but it sounds interesting :) At the end you mention about making it a loaf, but I was wondering what ingredient you add 1 tbsp at a time to make it a dough? Thanks!

FLOUR hahaha thanks for noticing that, editing now
