Shabash_Delam (author)2016-02-12

my oven only goes to 230 its a fan oven how long do I need to cook it for, does it really ozz with chocolate, it really looks like heaven!

DIbyamK (author)Shabash_Delam2016-07-10

Shabash, It seems that the oven you use shows the setting of the temperature in degree fahrenheit. 412 degree fahrenheit = 210 degree celcius(approx) . So use that setting.

Chris Meletis made it! (author)2014-06-29

Quite made it... :/ no yummy lava heart though.. (I didn't use choco drops but instead I cut a hole chocolate into pieces). Will experiment again soon! :)

Bhawya (author)Chris Meletis2014-06-30

Hi! Thanks for trying it.. Yes, my mom also followed this recipe and used whole chocolates and no lava formed inside. try using chocochip and melt it with butter. When u bake, make sure u applied enough butter or cooking spray in the baking bowl (when u flip it, it ll fall off easily:)) Thanks again.

I made this and they tasted really good!!! But mine fell apart as I was taking them out of the muffin pan(the bottom stuck to the pan so my cakes looked like an active volcano..). How long should you let them cool before flipping so this doesn't happen again?

Bhawya (author)blarson62014-03-20

Hi, I let them cool for 5 to 7 minutes. And before I bake, I greased the bowl with 1 1/2 tbsp of butter (room temperature),so it was not stick in the bowl. Thank you so much for trying it :)

Plunged_u (author)2014-02-28

How did you do the heart?

Bhawya (author)Plunged_u2014-03-01

After flipped the cake, Cut like heart shape in paper towel, place tat in the centre of the cake and sift a teaspoon of powdered sugar. Done! Thanks:)

I made this last night for friends. It was a risk making a recipe the I've never done before for a dinner party, coupled with the fact I've never had or made lava cake in my life! but I will say it worked PERFECTLY! Just a little "lol" at the instruction to: "Add eggs in it and beat nicely." I tried to be nice and thought I'd sing it a song and tell the mixture how much I appreciated it! Anyway - thanks, it made my evening.

Bhawya (author)wornboots2014-03-01

I am glad tat it came out perfect :)

Thanks!

Penolopy Bulnick made it! (author)2014-02-28

I sort of made it! My oven runs to hot so it didn't have the lava center, but it was wonderfully moist in the center!
