Signing UpStep 1: Getting started
A clean one-gallon plastic bottle (the bleach-type, not a milk bottle)
About one yard of flannel (in the desired flesh-tone)
Less than half a yard of something cute for the dress (I used 100% cotton)
Polyester filling
One 3.5 ounce roll of yarn
Various bits of felt
Scrap cardboard
Sewing machine, thread, etc.
Hot glue gun
Various crafting tools
The entire structure for the Momma Doll is built around the one gallon plastic bottle. Mine was an empty, clean bottle that held Simple Green cleaner, but you could use an old bleach bottle. Whatever you use, just be sure to rinse it out really well first.
Begin by cutting off the handle section from the bottle with a sharp-bladed tool.
Cut out a 9 3/4" disc of cardboard, and hot glue it (centered) to the bottom of the bottle.

{awesomely detailed -ible, btw. exactly what we were looking for}
I starting working on this on a Friday night, and then spent most of the day on Saturday to finish it. It took quite a long time because I was designing and figuring out how to put it all together as I went. I think you could make one for yourself much, much quicker.
I would recommend making your first one completely before you start any others to figure out exactly how you want to do each step. (That way if you make mistakes, you only have to correct them on one doll, not 10!)
Once you've got pretty good feel for how you want to do each step you could set up an assembly line of sorts and really pound them out quickly.
Hope that helps. Good luck!
