First, cut the PCB headers down to 4 columns. This is so that the motion sensor can be inserted into the middle of a breadboard the way a regular DIP IC can be inserted.

Next, pull out all the pins. You can place the header on a flat hard surface and push the housing downwards. If you use a long nose plier to pull out the pins one by one, do not wedge or twist the pins. Also don't bend or damage the pins. We want the housing that holds the pins as well as the pins. We only need the longer pins though, but save the shorter ones, they'll probably come in handy for some other projects.
